The OPEN DAYS are organized by the European Commission's Regional Policy DG and the Committee of the Regions, together with partners from European regions and cities, other European Institutions and businesses.
The OPEN DAYS are an ideal framework for them to showcase good practice in the field of strengthening regional competitiveness, territorial co-operation and social and economic cohesion, to share experiences with others and to impact on the political debates among EU institutions and Member States.
You can meet there business partners and associations, financial institutions and civil society organisations which will organise sessions as part of the OPEN DAYS programme, mainly within the 'Meeting Place' at the Committee of the Regions' HQ, where they will present projects and ideas in cooperation with regions and cities.
About 600 speakers will contribute to the 130 seminars during the OPEN DAYS 2010, the majority of them experts from national, regional and local authorities. Among international organisations and European associations presented by speakers there are: the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, General Electric, etc.
The North Sea Region Programme will be represented with a stand. NMU will take part and present the projects achievements at the stand in the Committee of Regions building. Jens Froese, Indah Rosalie Lengkong and Nataliya Pryadko will be the NMUs representatives.
